Italians in the Fallschirmjager (Provisional title)
During the winter of 1943-44, the 4th German Parachute Division began to accept Italian volunteers from the disbanded "Folgore" and "Nembo" parachute Divisions. Within a month, the new volunteers led by German officers and still wearing their Italian Army uniforms, including the camouflage jump smocks, were fighting the Allied beachhead at Anzio. Armed with German Army weapons and webbing, the Italians fought well and acquitted themselves during the fighting south of the Italian capital. This new mini range will compliment our existing ranges of Mediterranean theatre fighting figures.
